Become a Volunteer

The Union Station’s active volunteers provide a visitor-friendly learning experience in a welcoming and educational environment. As a small museum with limited staff, our knowledgeable volunteers serve as the face of our organization and our greatest connection to the community. Volunteers are essential partners in the operation of historic Ogden Union Station as an educational and cultural resource.

Areas to volunteer:

  • Hosts | A friendly guide can create a positive visitor experience and help bring to life Ogden’s fascinating history. You don’t need to be an expert, just someone who enjoys meeting people.
  • Exhibits | To help ensure that the Museum remains an engaging destination, volunteers assist with installation, maintenance and general upkeep of displays and exhibits.
  • Library and Archives | Volunteer support in the care and use of our extensive resource collection allows the library staff to increase public research hours in the renowned Robert W. Richardson Library.
